FoodLAND has been invited by UN-Habitat to attend the 3rd International Forum on Urban-Rural Linkages (IFURL), which is being held in Songyang County, China, from the 29th of October to the 2nd of November. Valentino Marini Govigli, from UNIBO, attended the forum and offered a talk about the Food Hub approach of FoodLAND, entitled “Promoting Sustainable and Integrated Food Hubs in Africa: Implementation Process and Lessons Learned”.

The theme of the forum has been ‘Enhancing Urban-Rural Connectivity to Build Better Livelihoods’ which is being further discussed and elaborated through four sub-themes, namely: youth, equitable distribution of resources, rural revitalization and transportation.
