FoodLAND is among the flagship projects at SUA
FoodLAND has started being prominent and featuring in different newsletter outlets at SUA. This is because of its outstanding outcomes which have started being realized at SUA.
In the SUA December 2022 – March 2023 issue, FoodLAND appeared in the newsletter showing a prominent event which happened in December 2022. It featured the photo of DVC ARC, Prof M.W. Mwatawala opening the FoodLAND annual meeting in Zanzibar – Tanzania.
Also, recently the photo of FoodLAND Principal Investigator (PI), Prof Nchimbi Msolla and Co-PI, Dr Mwanri doing extension work to youth appeared in the newsletter for SUA Scientific Conference held in May 2023.
Furthermore, during the 3rd SUA Scientific Conference, one manuscript was presented by the FoodLAND team. It was co-authored by Mwanri et al., and it assessed the cross-sectional analysis carried out using the Global Diet Quality Questionnaire with women and children in rural areas in Tanzania. It is worth noting that some of the FoodLAND project members from SUA (Prof. Sanga & Dr Mwanri) participated in reviewing manuscripts and also played the role of conference organizers.
