FoodLAND is running surveys with rural consumers in all the 14 Food Hubs that have been created. About 200 pairs of women of reproductive age and one child 6 to 23 months of age have been selected for this survey.

The surveys include the gender perspective, devote special attention to maternal and child diets and health, and collect data on consumers’ socio-economic conditions, socio-demographic (e.g., migration) and anthropometric characteristics, food provisioning and preparation habits, diets, food prices, and community conditions and services.

The pictures below show different moments of the surveys conducted in Tanzania, both during the pre-testing in Hembeti Village in Mvomero Food Hub, as well as conducting a mother-child pair survey in Ndole village in Mvomero in December 2022.
